Hydraulics one day course - Accredited

BFPA Hydraulics accredited two day course

PTO one day course

This is a one day course on identification techniques for PTO shaft types and components. The course covers all aspects of PTO shafts and spares plus how to identify PTO shaft manufacturer and series from measurements or part numbers. 

This course is perfect for store staff that require training on PTO identification and maintenance.

Those who have trained on PTO before but require a refresher course.

Course Content

  • A solid understanding of Power Take Off
  • A solid understanding of shaft and spline types
  • An introduction to parts identification
  • An understanding of HP ratings and manufacturers
  • How to identify PTO shaft manufacturers and series
  • Identifying different clutches
  • Identifying profile tube, cross journals, bearing rings and yoke types
  • An understanding of PTO protection
  • A practical knowledge of PTO shafts 

Requirements for this course to be held on site are:

  • Meeting room with enough space for tutor, delegates and samples
  • WiFi
  • TV or screen for the presentation

Hydraulics one day course

This one day course is delivered in conjunction with the British Fluid Power Association and it covers identification techniques for hydraulic hoses and fittings, plus how to swage a hose and health and safety regarding swaging.

This course is targeted at staff who find identifying hydraulics fittings difficult, ideal for stores or parts staff.

Course Content

  • Understanding the dangers and implications of fluid injection injuries and how they should be treated
  • How to correctly identify the common types of end terminations
  • How to correctly identify the common types of hose connectors
  • How to correctly measure hose assembly overall length   
  • Producing a hose assembly under supervision    

Requirements for this course to be held on site are:

  • Meeting room with enough space for tutor, delegates and samples
  • WiFi
  • TV or screen for the presentation
  • Calibrated swaging machine
  • Suitable area for the practical element to take place

The delegates will get the BFPA Training passport, subject to their approval and filling out the “Course Registration Form” on the day of the course, but they would need to know the following before signing up:.

  • This would require a photos of each delegate, which upon completion of the form on the day and completion of the course, these would be sent to the BFPA to create the “Training Passports” which will be shipped to Kramp for us to deliver to the customer, customers’ upon receipt

Targeted at stores or parts staff.

Course content:

  • Hose applications and identification techniques
  • How to swage hoses including a practical section
  • An understanding of health and safety practices in hydraulics

Min of 10 delegates are required for this course to run.

BFPA Hydraulics accredited two day course

This course is targeted at staff who are after a more in-depth level of hydraulic parts training.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems is required. A basic technical ability would be preferred but is not essential.

Course Content:

  • This will be an assessed based course following on from the Kramp Academy – 1 Day Hydraulics Course
  • Identification techniques on a wide range of fitting types
  • How to measure and assemble a Hose assembly which includes a practical session
  • Learning what Contamination is and how we can avoid adding it into a hydraulic system
  • Tightening of connectors and the various methods used
  • Hose assembly routing and Installation.  Correct & Incorrect routings and how to protect hoses in service
  • Hose management.  How long should a hydraulic hose be stored? Attendees will receive a training certificate and training passports from the BFPA

*This would require a photo of each delegate, which upon completion of the form on the day and completion of the course, these would be sent to the BFPA to create the “Training Passports” which will be shipped to Kramp for us to deliver to the customer, customers’ upon receipt.

This is a 2 day course and will run from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

  • Suitable area for the practical element to take place

This course is targeted at staff who are after a more in-depth level of hydraulic parts training.
