Ordering spare parts via EDI

With the EDI service from Kramp, ordering takes less time, and the risk of errors is reduced to an absolute minimum. Duplicate data entry is no longer required thanks to an EDI connection between your company's and Kramp's software.

The processing and forwarding of purchase orders is generally a time consuming task, during which errors can occur. But this doesn't have to be the case, as once a purchase order is ready in your company's system, you can transfer it directly to Kramp via the EDI connection at the touch of a button.

Damcon B.V. from Opheusden supplies a full range of new and used tree nursery machines and machines for other row crops and landscaping. A team of 20 employees works on developing and producing planting machines, nursery machines and harvesters.

Within the company, Damcon B.V. uses software from Dutch provider Bever. Since 2008, warehouse manager Dick Derksen has been placing daily orders with Kramp via an EDI connection between Bever and Kramp. Derksen explains: "In the past, we sent orders by fax. A key advantage of the EDI connection with Kramp is that the ordering process is now much faster. We can place orders even later in the day, as the ordering process is shorter".

The time saved each day can be used to further improve efficiency in the warehouse and the spare parts supply.

Convenient, efficient and accurate ordering

Kramp's EDI service is particularly useful for ordering C parts — such as fastening elements or hydraulic and pneumatic components.

Taking an order, forwarding it to suppliers and entering it into the company's system is often time-consuming. This is especially true for C parts, which require a lot of item numbers to be processed and have a low value. The ordering process is therefore time consuming and costly, particularly if purchase orders must be entered twice. With EDI, duplicate data entry is a thing of the past.

Your software package
We work together with you and your software partner to set up an EDI connection. The technical details are agreed during discussions with the parties involved, and you can then place orders quickly and conveniently via EDI. We already have efficient connections with many software packages, such as Ibcos and other customer specific systems.
