This tape is a strong self-amalgamating silicone tape that adheres without the application of an adhesive. Wrapping the tape around itself under tension creates a watertight, permanent seal with no drying time. It can be applied to all substrates and conditions without problems. It doesn't matter if it's wet, hot, dirty or greasy, and can even be applied underwater. The silicone bottom layer provides high resistance to chemical substances, such as oils, acids and solvents, and is also resistant to salt water, UV radiation and high temperatures. Primary applications for this product include insulating and protecting wires and connections, bundling wiring, protecting fittings and other exposed metals to protect them from corrosion, and masking applications in powder coating, wet painting, electrostatic paint spraying, anodising and metallising.
