Belt Basics: Common Types, Profiles and How to Determine the Correct Length

We see belts everywhere in the agricultural industry: in harvesters, bailers, loaders, reapers, and so on. They connect two or more “pulleys”, linking a power source to an application. In short, belts play a crucial part in power transmission. When using multiple belts on the same drive it is highly recommended that you ensure the belts are the same length, so a matched set. If you don’t do this, then efficiency will decrease dramatically.
